NEIS 2020 took place on the 14th and 15th of September 2020. Around 100 participants had the opportunity to listen to 74 paper presentations focusing on the following topics:

  • Grid integration of e-mobility
  • Sector coupling for practical applications with dual use
  • Power system measurement and identification methods
  • Innovative monitoring and protection methods for power systems
  • Experimentally validated energy storage applications
  • Experimental demonstration of smart grid solutions
  • New mathematical computations for power systems

Conference proceedings were published in VDE Verlag as well as in IEEE Xplore.

The conference program was enriched by three keynote presentations:

  1.  Challenges for the Future Power Systems
(Prof. Malcolm McCulloch, University of Oxford, United Kingdom)
  2. Unlocking the Hidden Capacity of the Electrical Grid through Power Electronics
(Prof. Marco Liserre, Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel, Germany)
  3. multiDC - Towards a Holistic Integration of HVDC Links into Large-Scale AC Systems
    (Dr. Weckesser, DanskEnergi, Denmark)
